ABOUT TANYA - CURTAINS BY DESIGN
Tanya - Curtains by Design was born out of Tanya Leech’s love of sewing and her determination to live and work on the beautiful North Cornish coast. From cottage industry beginnings in 1996, the business has grown to employ a dedicated small team and now operates from a purpose built, green oak workshop in the village of Rock.
The heart of the business remains making handmade curtains and blinds, and Tanya still wields the needle and thimble herself, with assistance now though, so that she can spend vital time with her clients, getting to know them and finding inspiration for their homes.
She is equally happy working with those also lucky enough to live in Cornwall full time, as she is working for the many owners of holiday homes in the area. With the substantial redevelopment of many large coastal properties, Tanya has found herself in great demand, becoming involved early in the build process, working closely with architects and the building contractors.
Appreciating the difficulties of overseeing and planning projects from a distance, Tanya now provides a complete interior design service, from paint schemes through to sourcing furniture and decorative lighting.
